Your Prime Visa earns different reward rates depending on where you shop and whether you have an eligible Prime membership. With Prime, you earn 5% back on Amazon.com, Whole Foods Market, and select other categories. Without Prime, the Amazon Visa earns 3% in those same categories.

Earning rates

You earn 1 point per penny. For example, 5% back equals 5 points per dollar spent.

Delivery promotions

You may earn extra rewards on eligible Amazon deliveries:
  • Amazon Day or No-Rush Delivery: sometimes earn an extra 1% (6% total) on select items
  • During events like Prime Day: temporary promotions may offer 7% to 8% back on eligible purchases
These promos apply automatically at checkout when available. No enrollment is required.

What does not earn 5% or 3%

The following purchases are excluded from the elevated Amazon/Whole Foods rate and earn 1% instead:
  • International Whole Foods sites
  • Whole Foods products sold through third-party websites
  • Online event tickets, classes, or gift cards for Whole Foods
  • Some third-party vendor items at Whole Foods
  • Promotional financing purchases (these earn no rewards)
