# Why are my points missing or not showing?

> Points may be delayed by Daily Rewards timing, deducted for returns, or not earned on excluded purchases. Check posting and view per-transaction details at Chase.

If you expected points from a recent purchase but do not see them yet, the delay is usually normal. Prime Visa points post through Daily Rewards and are typically available as soon as the next day, but timing can vary. Returns and certain purchase types can also reduce or remove points.

## Normal timing for points to appear

Prime Visa uses Daily Rewards. Points for most purchases usually appear as soon as the next business day after the transaction posts. Some transactions may take an extra day or two, especially over weekends or holidays.

<Steps>
  <Step>
    Wait 1 to 2 business days after the purchase posts to your account.
  </Step>

  <Step>
    Sign in to **Chase.com** or the **Chase Mobile app**.
  </Step>

  <Step>
    View your account activity and look for the points column or rewards details for that transaction.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Why points can be lower than expected

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Returns and refunds">
    When you return a purchase, Chase deducts the points you earned for that amount. If you return more than you recently earned, your points balance can go negative until new purchases post.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Non-eligible purchases">
    Not every purchase earns the top rate. Promotional financing purchases earn no rewards. International Whole Foods sites, Whole Foods products bought through third-party sites, online event tickets or classes at Whole Foods, gift cards, and some third-party vendors at Whole Foods may not earn 5% or 3%.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Prime membership status changed">
    If your Prime eligibility lapsed, Amazon purchases dropped from 5% to 3% (or from 3% to 1% if you hold the non-Prime Amazon Visa). Check your status in Amazon > Your Account > Your Payments.
  </Accordion>

## Where to view per-transaction points

The best place to confirm how many points a specific purchase earned is your Chase account:

* On **Chase.com**: sign in, select your Prime Visa, and open account activity or rewards details.
* On the **Chase Mobile app**: tap your Prime Visa, then look for transaction details that show points earned.

<Tip>
  If you redeemed points at Amazon checkout, the points were already used. Check your Chase rewards history to see redemptions and remaining balance.
</Tip>

## If points are still missing after a few days

If a transaction has posted, it is not a return, and the purchase was eligible, but points are still missing after several business days, contact Chase using the number on the back of your card or send a secure message through your Chase account.
