# Add Your Prime Visa to Your Amazon Account

> Add your Prime Visa to Amazon Wallet, set it as your default payment, and confirm you are earning 5% back. Shop with Points enrolls automatically.

To start earning rewards and using Shop with Points at checkout, add your Prime Visa or Amazon Visa to your Amazon account. Once the card is saved in Amazon Wallet, Shop with Points enrollment is automatic, and you can verify your 5% earning status in your account settings.

  <Step title="Add the card to Amazon Wallet">
    Sign in to Amazon.com and go to **Your Account**. Select **Your Payments**, then click **Add a payment method**. Enter your card details and save.

  <Step title="Set the card as your default (optional)">
    In **Your Payments**, select your Prime Visa and click **Set as default** if you want it to be the primary payment method for purchases.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Confirm Shop with Points enrollment">
    Shop with Points is automatically enabled when your Prime Visa is in your Amazon Wallet. You can use points at checkout with no minimum balance required.

  <Step title="Check your 5% earning status">
    In **Your Account**, go to **Your Payments**, then expand the details for your Prime Visa. Look for confirmation that you are earning 5% back. If it shows 3%, see [Why am I not earning 5%?](/troubleshooting/not-earning-5-percent).

## What happens next

* You will earn rewards on eligible purchases starting with your first transaction.
* Points are usually available as soon as the next day through Daily Rewards.
* You can redeem points at Amazon checkout or at Chase.com for cash back, gift cards, and travel.

<Note>
  Only one Prime Visa per Amazon account can earn 5% back. If you have multiple Prime Visas linked, only the primary card will earn the elevated rate.

<Warning>
  If your Prime membership lapses, if you remove the card from your Amazon account, or if a different card is linked to your Prime membership, your earning rate may drop to 3%. Check your status periodically in **Your Payments**.
